Travelers of the Past: drawings and words

L’Appia Antica ha attirato da secoli tutti coloro che arrivavano a Roma. Artists, painters, writers, but also simple travelers, sought to capture the emotions of these ancient places through words and images. During the walk, we will try to bring those impressions back to life, retracing how they saw the monuments scattered along the road. The itinerary starts from the Cartiera Latina and reaches the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella, passing through the most iconic sites of the Caffarella: the God Rediculus, the Nymph Egeria, and San Urbano.
